When ever I look into a mirror I consantly wonder if it really is me in the mirror. Is that really what I look like? For many years now I have taught myself not to trust mirrors. After all it really isn’t me. Anything could have happened to the light on it’s way to bouncing off the mirror. The angle could have changed and of course the mirror itself could be distorted. Because I’ll never know I’m always worried, maybe I’m too fat. I know it’s crazy, but that’s the me and my eating disorder.

It’s always hard to look into the mirror and judge my body image favorably. This is one of the hardest parts of beating a eating disorder. My body image distortion is just so ingrained into my mind. That really is my biggest problem and one that I am constantly getting help for and working on.
